"Andalucia"
$150
This image gets
its name from the southern-most region of Spain know as Andalucia. This is where
the beautiful and brave 'Andalusian' horse originates from. There are several
old villages of red-roofed buildings here, known as the 'white villages' of
Spain. I've have not yet been to Spain, but it remains my dream to visit someday
and perhaps see an equestrian bullfight.
"Andalucia" is available in an edition of 25 and measures 12 by 9
inches (unmatted) and comes matted to approximately 18 X 15.5 inches with single-
or double-matting. Please specify which matting you prefer (single is white,
double is white with red). Lino-cut 1998.

"Joy"
10 X 14 inches, White ground with Chine Colle'
US$225
"Joy",
which is actually a piece depicting driving, was created using a white pasty
substance called 'white ground', which is brushed onto a copper plate before
etching to make the image look more painterly. I also utilized aqua-tint, dry
point and finally chine colle' with several small pieces of dark-blue Oriental
paper. I one day hope to learn to drive since it looks like it could be very
exhilarating. Often it seems like the horses find it very exhilarating too,
which is what I tried to capture with this piece.
Available in a limited edition of 30. It is printed on white paper with black
ink and has several pieces of dark-blue lace-type Oriental paper chine colle'd
(i.e. pasted) onto the paper to give more texture. The image measures approximately
10 by 14 inches (unmatted). With matting this print will fit into a standard
size 11 X 14 inch frame. White Ground with Chine Colle' 2000.

"Durer Dog"
15
X 20 inches, Lithograph
US$200
"Durer
Dog"is a paper-plate lithograph, which was drawn and hand-pulled by me,
the artist. It begun several years ago, as a pen & ink study of a Albrecht
Durer drawing. I recently resurrected my drawing and recreated it on lithograph
paper. This version is much looser than my original drawing, which hopefully
means I've made some progress in my artistic development. I wanted the lines
on the plate to look a bit distressed also to give the piece an aged look.
Available in a very limited edition (probably less than 15 prints) due to the
unknown aspects of the new technology of paper-plate lithography. It is printed
on a very light buff colored paper and measures approximately 15 by 20 inches
(unmatted). With matting this print will fit into a standard size 20 X 24 inch
frame. Lithograph 2000.
